Patchwork Blocks for beginners
If you are looking to try Patchwork for the first time or have dreams of making a quilt but don't know where to start these workshops are perfect for you.
Join Derryth Mellish for monthly patchwork classes.
Each workshop she will demonstrate a different Block design and how to achieve it with a sewing machine. You will make a sample to take home along with patterns so that you can replicate the technique again.
If you enjoy the class you can attend monthly as part of a long term course building your patchwork skills and put your blocks together to make a 'Sampler quilt'.
These sessions are 3hrs with refreshments provided.
All sewing tools and equipment are provided at the workshop so just bring your basic sewing kit, threads and fabrics unless you are buying them on the day.
You must provide your own Fabric for this workshop. Fabrics are available to buy at Stitch Studio on the day or you may have a stash at home you wish to use. Scraps are great for paper piecing projects so bring your stash.
To find dates and times see our live calendar and to book a place contact Derryth directly at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Basic sewing machine skills are required for this class so if you're a complete beginner please see our Learn to Sew Course.
